Description
Hometree Aluminum alloy wire on cast Aluminum base22 inches across at canopy
358 strands of wire run continuously from roots to top and there is about 30 strands that have been added to top to make "leaves" from and 40 strands have been added in root zone. I average about 26 leaves per strand so I have about 10,062 leaves up there on the top. This tree took about 450 hours or so of hands on twisting wire time over four months.
I started with 5.5 foot wire strands. Construction photos here [link]

I've made wire trees before, but they're absolutely nothing like this! You must have had some pretty sore hands after that mess! >w<

Oh wow...from the thumbnail it looks like a metal sculpture made out of large pieces, but even in the smaller view I can see the enormous amount of time and energy you spent (450 hours!) to make this. I don't usually associate the word "crazy" with the word "amazing", but this is crazy amazing!

Wow that's pretty crazy and amazing! Thank you for the progress photos - I was very interested in how you did this. So for the leaves did you just bend circles into the wires until they ran out after they've contributed to whatever branches they're a part of?
