Description What started out as a simple test of masking layers turned into a full on art piece! I didn't know what I was really doing, but wanted to make anything that looked like it belong. No references, just imagination. Honestly, I love how it turned out, and you can love it too! Feel free to download it as a wallpaper or whatever :>

Are you familiar the planet Zeus I think it was called it was a sci-fi concept where a planet had skewing rings like this because they formed two separate magnetic field lines because that is what I think when I see that. Th sun also looks like an orange dwarf star, and it is shedding its outer gas layers till only a compact dense white dwarf center remains, I think this is a wonderful image fore just happening by accident the way you put it, and a planet in turmoil to well done.

I think the concept is fairly old, well I think I first heard it on PBS in Mysteries of Deep Space, a special from 1997

Whatever you were experimenting with, this turned out freaking awesome. I love how dull the bronze/golden sun's (?) halo is. And the chilly halo around the planet too, it looks cool.

You should make more pieces like this.

Dem lighting effects The only thing that bothers me is that I intended the planet to be the center of the picture, so I made the bright flash to be somewhat of a focal point. When I decided to put in the far off star, I had already collapsed the layers for the planet, so the flash had to remain. To me it's somewhat out of place, but also seems to bring your eyes right back down to the planet... So it coincidentally works Thanks

I also think by doing that, you balance the picture out. Sure, sometimes you can get a more interesting composition by not drawing things directly in the middle but it may look out of a balance. But you're welcome.
