do you have photoshop CS4? I switched from elements to that, and I can't figure out how to make the opacity controlled by the pen pressure. what menu do you use to adjust that?

Go to brush properties (or where you find all the brush presets), then search for the tab 'other dynamics,' click the whole text so that it shows you flow and opacity control, then just set the opacity to pen pressure.

Mind you, this stuff didn't sprout overnight and I had to do some backpedaling to get it to where I wanted. XD
In my mind, tutorials are pretty useful, but they're only the tip of the iceberg; sometimes it takes some understanding in art to really get the hows and whys artists do what they do in making their pics. So it's just a matter of time, research and practice.
