Great job with the effects in this shot, the quality and color of the marble really makes the image match the title here. I've seen some of your other work and I think this one calls out to me more than the other photographs because there is a peaceful aspect with this certain shade of blue and the definition of the snow is very nice in addition with the focal point. Overall, I think this a very good image that truly captures the intended essence of serenity in all areas here. I hope to see more of your work in the future.

Hey Jeff, thanks a great deal for your critique. I am glad you like my work. I am looking forward to doing more as the year progresses. I agree with 3-stars for originality because marbles have been something I have dabbled with my most recent stuff, way back in 2014, and I did a small batch of pictures with marbles in 2013. The more I do the same thing the more I want to improve it so that (the same thing) is something new all at the same time.

No problem Crusix, being a new-timer to Deviant Art I'm trying to search for art/artists I like so I can discover new techniques and forms of art along with my own. Writing reviews and interpretations on artwork is also a new-found hobby of mine, so when I saw the chance to write a critique on 'Serenity' I decided to fulfill my opportunity and hopefully get some feedback on what you thought of it. I wonder, was the update the background blur? Like the image though, has a fantasy ring to it like this (not seeing a marble, but seeing other worlds inside the marble)
