Description
Did this in art class last week. It's one of three I've done, this one I liked the best though so I thought to finish it.I may do a large canvas painting of it sometime, since I like it so well. Who knows. haha.
We were working with shapes and lighting, so we were asked to draw three different figurines. They were difficult, because they were made of wood, and their bodies were separated in the middle. Ontop of that there were no real lines to define where one limb began and the other ended. I managed to get through it though. Then it sort of took on a life of it's own.
Hope the teach likes it lol.

My thoughts to this were really: To get to the good places in life, sometimes one has to over come enormous challenges - but in the end it's worth it - not only are you stronger - but you take more satisfaction in the end result of your labor.
Thanks for the comment~ it made me think about what I really wanted to convey. I think I want to try and do a larger version of this in the future - especially because I want to depict the tree on top being really quite elegant and graceful.

That's a very good concept, I can definitely see that, with the crouched person, leading your eye to the top of the piece to the tree; to me, the tree at the top is the focal point
This would be a great piece to do a larger version of! Out of all the fan art you get on here (and I'm guilty of this..) it's nice to see an actual piece on here that is original and has a concept to portray! The title you gave it is interesting too; reminds me of the Egyptian obelisks

yeah that's kind of what I was thinking, about the egyptian obelisks. It took so much time, effort, sweat, blood, and tears to make them. It was a dangerous task - but the end result was phenomenal. Thank you for your kind comment. I wish there were more like you out there XD. I'm not big on doing fan art - I enjoy originality and uniqueness - I'm glad to find you do too!
