Description
EDIT: This is still getting-----------------------------------
my good friend Cerzz has started to dabble in the wonderful and pain-staking world of animation!
I suggest using this only as a guide, as you can see the animation itself is basic and by no means flawless!!
my tutors would screw if they knew I was workin' on this instead of my school work lol! ... me go bed now
Hope it helps Cerrz

hrrm.. a flash player? o.O ... are you sure it's capable of comping together new animations? .. I only really used macromedia flash itself, and animation shop (by Jasc) when it comes to comping together basic anims.. but you can also use programs like adobe premiere. - is there an option to "export" the file? or "save as" ? \:]

no worries, it can be confusing!! .. look under the "file" menue, to see what options you have for saving/exporting. - At the very least you should be able to save it as a .swf (flash animation file) which would enable you to post it on DA if you wanted to.

this kinda helps me a bit , but can you tell me what format to put animation in? i tryed gif but it didn't work.
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
KatCardy In reply to LaleyWasHere [2007-09-02 11:37:54 +0000 UTC]
.gif is the most common format for animation files, but you'll need a program that will stitch the frames together, like animation shop. - what program are you using right now?
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
KatCardy In reply to LaleyWasHere [2007-09-05 12:13:04 +0000 UTC]
photoshop's fine for making the individual frames, but you need a program that will put them together into one file, like animation shop

Very useful, the notes at the side help as well. A frame-by-frame series is really useful too, so I know what to do with each frame. Faving this for sure.

Yay! I was staring at my dog the other day trying to wrap my mind around how she runs...
I'm sure this'll come in handy when I start incorporating animals in my next few pieces.

KatCardy In reply to SmakDaBunny [2007-07-21 11:01:21 +0000 UTC]
It's great fun to work out how things move... although this is a generic run cycle that works ok for most dogs, in fact all dogs are sligtly different, and with practice you'll be able to see how some dogs have more of a skip or a hop in their run
Have fun with your work, and thanks for the and comment

Just the dog-drawing tutorial I was looking for! I'm not making an animation, but it's still a great reference for an "in motion" still picture.
