Description
EDIT: This is still getting-----------------------------------
my good friend Cerzz has started to dabble in the wonderful and pain-staking world of animation!
I suggest using this only as a guide, as you can see the animation itself is basic and by no means flawless!!
my tutors would screw if they knew I was workin' on this instead of my school work lol! ... me go bed now
Hope it helps Cerrz

hey, nice one, your avatar looks great! I should revisit this tutorial sometime, since so many people have used it... I think I could make the motion more smooth!

heh.. that's probably not intentional.. there's an annoying "skip" or "stick" in this animation which I really should iron out sometime! (as I've noticed that others who have used this have the same problem with their animations too!) ... - thanks for commenting! :]

..........oh wait, this is my comment. Um...looks very shiny (that's my personal slang for 'cool')! Shiny shiny shiny...I've got a dog so I might try using some of those poses if I ever get 'round to drawing him! It's so hard to get him right, though, because he's got a ton of wrinkles. Darn, I'm rambling. Yeah - good stuff!.....sleep now....

KatCardy In reply to Squigglishly [2007-05-22 08:08:45 +0000 UTC]
hey! Your dog sounds cool!! You know the best way to practice would be to draw him when he's sleeping!! - when he's still long enough for you to draw all those wrinkles in
- glad you think my tutorial is shiny, thanks for commenting

Actually this animation was a godsend... as I have been busting my brains trying to creat a similar horse animation... and the resluts are not encouraging... and this one is actually a very good example... it's a pitty there's no way to save this to my comp... or is there and I don't know? COuld you please give me permition to save this ( and tell me how to do it? ) I promise that when I will actually be able to compleet one of my animations, I will link back to this.
P.S.
Let me know if you want to see my current animations ( as they aren't posted anywere ).

KatCardy In reply to ajder [2007-05-01 12:37:59 +0000 UTC]
hello Adjer thanks for being so polite and asking! Sure thing, you can save it.. you should be able to right click where it says "download" to the left of the deviation, and select "save link location" or "save file as" depending on what browser you're using
.... that will then put the .swf file on your desktop (or wherever you chose to save it)
I hope this helps. You would really benefit from finding reference footage on the net of a horse running, because there are some pretty fundamental differences between dogs and horses!
hehe ... even so, I'm glad that this was helpful to you. - You draw very well, I'd be interested in seeing some of your animation.

well I actually did try out that thing with the downloading and atempted to save... ( I would not have asked otherways ) but all I get is flash player options... nothing that lets me save the target or the file...
As for my animations... ceck these out... I know they stink... but oh well... I do know little about horese...

The head moovement in the last one is a total desaster... I know... but the overall body anatomy is better then the first one.
Alass the body looks very stiff as the horse's hindquarters move up and down as it moves too... and I can't seem to depict that no matter how hard I try... and I never seem to get if a horse will drop and raise it's head whille taking a half a step, or a full step... this thing baffles me, despite atempting to watch horses walking...
