Description
Finally finished it!I started this pixel back in June and had not expected it to be so large or complicated. But I've wanted to start a challenge for myself to create a pixel/emote for each game I enjoy/love, and with 102 hours played on AC4, I do think it's one of my favourite games. (Currently at 98% completion, I'm going to aim for 100% soon )
At first this was going to be a simple static emote, but after I added the flag, and then animated it, I felt the water was a bit off not moving so I animated that too.
I've never pixeled so much water before so that was my one hatred throughout this whole pixel
A progress gif I made from start to finish: AC4 - Progress
A group of references and screen shots I also used Here
I wanted to get this finished off before the new AC game comes out.. On Tuesday, So I cut it a bit close but still got there
Some odd stats-
48 layers (A few were redundant/place-holder/etc). 242 frames on my progress file. The animation loops at only 4 frames, but to combine it with a unique floating animation made it a 35 frame animation. I had tried to limit my colour usage, and yet I still ended up using around the 130 colours.
This is also part of my NaNoEmo this month
Ultimately I am really happy with how this turned out and I've learnt a bit from creating it. I'm always up for any critique though also.
Thank you for looking!

Wow. Well, that's how you do the water "grid" effect then. Now I know. Great job on this one!
Seeing your progress animation makes me feel DETERMINED. I have this winter emoticon animation I haven't finished, and it's been lying around for 3 years now. Give me the energy to finish it!

This is awesome. I've never played assassin's creed, but this is really cool. I like the cave in the back left a lot.
