How do you get the markers to blend so easily and not look so streaky? Also, I don't completely understand the gel pen technic, does it highlight? Or is it just adding an extra white base? This is great btw!

Did you use Prismacolor markers? And what is acrylic?

I used a combination of prismacolor and faber castell polychromos. I tend to like polychromos a little more because the lead is harder and it is easier to get fine detail.
And acrylic is a type of paint There are really 3 big categories of paint: watercolor, acrylic, and oil. Acrylic tends to dry the fastest of the 3. And it dries sort of like plastic. But what I use is liquid acrylic. It behaves a little differently than regular acrylic. It tends to be a bit more translucent, and you can sort of work it like watercolor before it dries. It's a little hard to explain. The best way to test new materials is to go to a local art store and buy a sample of the product. If you like it, buy more colors
I hope that helps a little.

Hey I use faber castell and Prismacolor pencils. The kinds of pencils you use definitely make a difference, but if you are just starting out, crayola will work just fine.
Thank you!
