Oh man yeah, I see him misrepresented a lot? He's a narcissist and a kind of a jerk sometimes, but he isn't some evil bastard, he has standards, man. He's also definitely not a soft kind fellow either LMAO. I see Ratchet get exaggerated quite a bit, too; yeah he's a grump but he isn't Monster Doctor™.

Oh my- don’t even get me started about Ratchet. That I know comes from animated Ratchet but when people use that for G1 it makes no sense. He’s actually a party animal haha.

Oh heck yeah man, if you go to his tfwiki.net page it goes on about how he's a partier. It's really funny cause the you look at 90% of G1 art and he's got the characterization of animated + prime Ratchet and youre just like ????? no hes out there sippin martinis and playin energon pong like smh if you don't think G1 Ratchet would absolutely prank Optimus then im sorry but we can't be friends anymore Karen.

Ratchet is too good for us. He needs to be protected. He was always my favourite ever since getting into Transformers. Him and the twins. I have the MP versions of them sans Sunstreaker. I want him but he’s too expensive.

oh snip dude!!!! I don't have any MP models, no money for them and also currently nowhere to store em :') I'm actually undecided on whether I would prefer to have the MP edition or the official Takara model. Both are great, but I don't remember the review I watched awhile ago too well (need to rewatch sometime) and even though ideally I'd get them both I know that would take a lot of saving up, pfff. My very first favorite was actually Jazz, then Perceptor, and finally Sunny. Percy is still in my top 3 autobots =//v//=

Yeah, I got both MPs for my birthday a couple years ago so that helped. 
Neato! Ratchet was my first favourite, then the twins, probably Jazz too because everyone loves him c'mon. Aerialbots came way later after I had a break from TFs. Perceptor! Interesting choice, I don't see that often. I have some fave Decepticons too like Blitzwing, Dreadwing, Soundwave, and Thundercracker (the rest of the seekers are cool too). Can I just say I love all the characters? You can't pick favourite children.

Yeahhh, mostly same here, though for me it's also the money. GOSH those things get expensive fast, you're absolutely right about how they get overpriced pretty easily. :') I'm too busy saving up my money for character/artwork stuff and games to set aside anything for collectibles until such times as I have the space for them anyways, so maybe one day! And yeah, when it comes down to it I guess it really is just give and take for different elements of the figures. If my memory of my brief peek into the world of figurines serves me right, I think the uhh...the Takara figurines tend to be sturdier overall? Maybe I'm wrong? Been a long time since I looked into it all P:
HECK how could I forget Air Raid?? Air Raid was one of my favs for a long time too, still holds a little special piece of my heart, hehe. Do you read fanfiction at all? There's this one little collection of minifics about the Aerialbots and the stories in those are so in-character and fun to read that I still revisit em every once in awhile. And yeah, definitely everyone likes Jazz! My fav cons have always been Rumble, TC (samesies!), and Astrotrain. Astro in particular because he's such a fun character. He's just...a jerk, pretty much, and in the show he didn't really have any kind of kind or soft side so it's fun to try and play with his character a little/compare it to other depictions. And yeah, I agree, would be way easier to just say "i love em all" 😂

Okay! So about Hasbro and Takara figures, they are both official (and they are partnered companies). The difference depends but the most common one I've seen is that one company might use different paint on the same figure. Takara will also sometimes use die cast and Hasbro, plastic. An example would be, say, Combiner Wars Superion (or any of the combiners really). CW Superion are a Hasbro production and Unite Warriors Superion are a Takara production. The figures are exactly the same except for the paint (and Silverbolt's droop snoot). Takara's version is more based on the G1 designs. If you want you can look at this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qi3Uuz… which compares both versions for each character. That is essentially what happens.
Speaking of Air Raid you should listen to Rob Paulsen's podcast Talkin' Toons (he voiced Air Raid and Slingshot). He is such an upbeat guy! He talks with different voice actor's if thats your thing. There was a Transformers special as well which can be found on his tfwiki page at the bottom. Sadly, Silverbolt's voice actor doesn't even remember doing any of the G1 stuff. And he swears a lot so watch out for that.
Back to the topic at hand! Yees, Air Raid is awesome! I couldn't rank the five though, I like them all the same. I do read fanfiction! Ooo please do send it my way, I'd love to see it!
Nice choices for Decepticons too! It's all the same for me, I can't pick haha. The Combaticons are starting to grow on me now though. Oh I like Astrotrain too! I felt like he had a caring side when he was leading his train minions but maybe that's just me.

Ohhh okay, see, I didn't realize they were actually partner companies now, and I guess it does make sense that Hasbro would use plastic more than diecast, as they probably care more about selling as much as they can (especially since they're an American company) over real collector's quality. Someday when I have the spare funds (that don't always end up going into snacks or artwork, oops) I'll do some proper research into what's what and which's where. : P
Oh that does sound like a neat podcast! I'll have to take a look at that sometime when I have the spare hour or so. Sad that Silverbolt's VA doesn't remember it at all, LOL, it's pretty incredible you could forget a whole section of your career like that...aaaaalthough actually the more I think about it TFG1 was probably a very small blip on the radar for the dude, considering it was pretty much a giant advertising scheme, but still 😂

Oh sheesh man, it was the same way for me with the Combaticons. At first I was like "eh" and then I was like "meh" and then I was like "heh" and now I'm like "yeh". Swindle was always hilarious tbh, and the concept of throwing some evil convict brains in deadly war bodies and then setting them loose to muck about is actually pretty hilarious, if terrible-sounding without context, LOL. As for Astrotrain, I've always very much wanted to believe he had a sweet side to him, and I personally like to characterize him much softer than the original cartoon does. His TFWiki description + role in G1 basically paint him as a vain, pride-blinded cargoman with a hunger for power who's not as cunning as Starscream but also not as backstab-y, and I'm like...nah. sorry Hasbro, trainboy is mine now, i make the rules from here on out and the rules are He's A Soft Boy.
EDIT: oh, a warning though, uh, a couple of the chapters are uhh kinda nsfw; they have warnings up front, so I usually just skip those ones < <"

Yeah see, I'm not experienced in toy collecting but I learn as I go. True that about Hasbro, they do a LOT of repaints which can be viewed as lazy depending on who you ask. With the current line called WFC Siege, they have done plenty of seeker repaints already. At least Skywarp finally has a new toy, it's always been Starscream or Thundercracker. Now we have all three. 
Yeah no problem! It's always cool to hear them all together again. I think you're right, many voice actors have done a lot of different parts in different shows and movies so it's no wonder why they forget details and such. In his defence, the show had so many characters he probably got like 10-15 minutes of dialogue or something.

Speaking of fics, I'm working on one at the moment. It's a sort of origin story for the Aerialbots before they became Aerialbots. They worked together at a delivery service right before the war. I have no idea when I'll finish it but it's been fun putting stuff down.
Bruh, I mean same! Those guys had some loyalty issues tho. I rewatched one episode that had them trying to take over Cybertron and Shockwave was at a complete loss on what to do. Like What are these beans doing pls stop. The five of them were such dummies that they were fooled by holograms and kept shooting at them. I found that pretty funny hahaha. It's hard to take them seriously when they're supposed to be badasses.
I totally get what you mean about Astrotrain. It's like headcanon in a way. The show gives us minimal characterisation that it leaves it up to the viewer to fill the blanks. I believe you when you say he is a soft boy haha. I also like to think he is best friends with Blitzwing who also happens to me my favourite too (I may have mentioned already). I'm completely the same with the Aerialbots. Like I'd be surprised when I read fics where Slingshot is like really mean and disgusted by humans (which isn't true because he helped Prince Jumal and never outright showed disgust so ???) or Skydive being cold and quiet towards others (I also disagree with this). So I guess we have our own ideas on what a character's personality is. Yes! Let us take ownership of these characters, this is how you do it right Hasbro.
