if you click the dodge tool and hold it down (on the tool bar), then slowly go to the bottom right corner, more options may come up.. one of them being burn.

This is so helpful!! I'm doing it right now, the only thing i cant do is the click and release thing, when i do it, for some reason it just goes in a straight line either up the top horizontally or vertically through the middle.

I love your tutorial! It's so much more explanatory than other ones I've seen. I like how you draw in the way we're supposed to use the burn/dodge tools with pink and green colors. ^.^

Awesome tutorial!! I have been looking for something like this to help me with water since i have never done it before. Do you think it will still work in adobe photoshop 7.0? I think it has all of those tools. ^w^

This is cool! This might help me with a picture I'm working on. So could the go for a surface shot; like being over the water looking down into it? Or is it just a good under water scene?

haha the very first time i made this, my underwater piece looked horrible and it looked nothing like your pictures. After about a year or more, I decided to attempt this again. The diagram with the small green lines that are suppose to be for the dodging, well, that's the only thing that doesnt look right, but everything else looks pretty good for my piece. I've learned a new trick today thanks to your tutorial. The touch-the-canvas-and-click-outside technique for the dodge. That's a really cool skill to know. Many many thanks for your tutorial!! D D
