That is the best water tutorial I have seen. I really like it because it's much more customisable than most. Most are like do Clouds, do Ripple, duplicate layer, set mode to screen, voila; which is boring. But this one is much more realistic too.
BTW, what was the font that you used (for the actual text of the steps)? It's funky

I think it's like Disney Simple or something. xD

do you think you could make a downloadble water gradient set for us? with loads of water, tropical ocean, brackish, green blue.

I'd love to see it, but it is taking way too long to load. It's been like, 5 minutes, and still nothing. >.<

You know what? If you tone a bit of the shine out of the corner and color everything green... it's a GORGEOUS forsest over tone... if you draw a forest and set the layer with the water background over it, set the opacity to oh.. um... well, anywhere between 50% and 92% it looks positively BRILLIANT!! just a suggustion for that elusive light-drop look...

Wow! X3 This is a fantastic tutorial.

Erm, I tried it today and I think I failed at the other rays coming out from one angle. (Not the rays coming from the sunlight). Can you help me?

kaykaykit In reply to midorishina [2005-12-15 22:03:08 +0000 UTC]

Not sure what you mean.. It's just the angles I'm guessing. I don't know how I can help without being right there beside you. :S
