Bio: Sapphire was the result of an affair. Her mother's mate wasn't the kindest lion, and she had often felt depressed. That was, until she met the rogue Kiume. When Sapphire was born, she looked enough like Ivy's family line that she was grateful. She was terrified of what would happen if Sapphire had turned out looking more like that rogue.

Ivy was surprised when Kaburi seemed to have accepted Sapphire as the next leader of their pride, despite her being a female. However things changed when Ivy's sister Holly gave birth to a cub that looked suspiciously like Kaburi. A male cub.

The boy was named the next leader.

As Sapphire grew, her parentage became more clear. She began to gain a distinct facial stripe that matched the one of the rogue that Kaburi had chased off months before Sapphire was born. Kaburi put two and two together and grew enraged at his mate for being disloyal to him.

Ever since that day, Kaburi had it out for Sapphire, making sure that her life was unhappy.

It was mostly small things like grounding her over small mistakes, or hitting her for no reason. But one, day it came to a head when she started becoming sweet on a boy from a neighboring family pride. Kaburi killed him and disposed of his body, convincing Sapphire that he didn't want to see her anymore and even convincing his family that he had not arrived at their pride as planned.

Sapphire overheard her parents arguing about it one night, where she finally learned the truth. She decided to run. To run away, very far, and never look back.

She made it to the Pridelands, where she settled down.

Her suffering didn't end there, as she was soon seduced by the King's younger brother once she had grown into an adult (3 years old). She had believed that he really loved her, but once she had given birth to a female cub instead of the male he wanted, he dumped her.

Sapphire found herself unable to love her cub after the trauma she went through.
