Oh-my-sweet-geese, this took me the whole day!!!

But it was worth it.

I present to you my first EVER animation, and it's HUUUUUGGEEEE.

120 layers FTW. TT^TT

I knew animation wasn't easy, but after doing this, I have a greater admiration for those who call themselves "animators".

Yes, I know that not all the frames are shaded, but still - it took me a while to do the ones I did. Oh, the repetitiveness.

But anyway: here is the prelude to my comic "Powerpuff Girls RETRACE". It's already got two chapters up, so if you want to have a look, here's the comic folder:

And yes, I realise that it was illogical of me to submit the prelude AFTER the comic's already started, but I only learnt how to animate today!!

It took me a while to learn thou. I had GIMP 2, but I found out that I needed to download this thing called GAP or something. Then I realised that the OLDER version of GIMP had the animation feature by itself. I was like, pffft, so I downloaded the older GIMP ^-^

This tutorial really helped me out too, and I feel obliged to link it:
