So here it is! The final render!! Yaaaaaay!!

So here, Clank is composited on top of a cabinet in my room. The two hardest parts here were the camera angle and the lighting, and I had to cheat a bit on the former. I put the Plasma Orb there in an attempt to make a unique light source, but I found that in the real world it isn't a huge producer of light, so now it's just there for looks.

I have no idea what Clank is doing in the frame there, he's probably trying to turn on my HDTV wirelessly, or maybe he just wants to scratch his head (which is what's implied).

I found that Lightwave, the program that I used, doesn't do individual passes on Occlusion and Radiosity, so I mimiced it by having no light sources for no shadows, making Clank invisible, and turning the cabinet object white (the cabinet in the final image is not CGI, btw, that's real).

For his pose, I had Clank touch the cabinet he was on with his feet and fingers, just to give that sort of real-world interaction. One effect which I did in Photoshop was add a grain filter. The original photo has a lot of it, so applying it to Clank makes it look more like he's in the original photo.

The reflection is also accurate according to my room. I took some photos of my room from behind Clank, facing to where I had the camera when I took the original picture, and assembled them into a panoramic photo. As a result, you can now see the TV reflected in Clank's head, as well as my various framed NCEA Certificates.

One thing I did which ended up not showing up well was putting my entire R&C game collection (sans QFB, that's lent to a friend), plus the Star Wars Saga and Back to the Future Trilogy set, on the shelf above my bed. Sadly, the quality of the picture was such that you can't read the labels.
