I too ask for no tomato. But is it so hard to just take them off yourself when they mess up?
Either way, I don't like yelling at the person at the counter. Having worked at Wal-Mart, it's given me a pretty good understanding of peoples roles.

yeah, it really is no big deal, i tend to forget that tomatoes are "normal" at burger places i don't normally patronize, so i forget to ask all the time.
i can only assume wal-marts are the same everywhere, because everyone from every working class shops there.
