Can't a guy get a good day's sleep around here anymore?! RUUUUUUUUUDE.

My first submission since... December I think? This was the first time in my watercolor class where we got to paint whatever we wanted. HALLELUJAH, I said, I couldn't take anymore leaves or mountain ranges or still lifes.

Nosferatu has always been one of the most terrifying things I've ever seen. I remember my first exposure. Do you remember that episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark? where some kid was alone in a movie theater that was playing Nosferatu, then Count Orlok breaks the 4th wall and starts walking toward the screen and then COMES OUT OF IT TO ATTACK THE KID? GOD I will never forget how much that scared me. Orlok had some of the best monster makeup of all time.

I tend to murder the paper. I'm so used to drawing, going back and forth on one line over and over again. Bad. Bad bad bad. I've got a long way to go, because I noticed almost at the end of the semester that none of my stuff had and real qualities of watercolor, at least not the ones I want to see: awesome blends, the border that the water makes when it has time to soak completely into the paper (I've been so impatient and have been soaking up what I thought was "excess"), etc. I've still got to take another watercolor class, though, so hopefully I'll get better.
