ah awesome thanks. i started off giving this some kinda dramatic mood with green lighting... lol cos i guess i was thinking the colour has to be a statement in itself or else its pointless. but it just felt wrong in relation to the easy going nature of the character and so on. so i started again and did this instead, which was faithful to the original feeling i'd had with it.

Hmm, like I said, to me the feeling seems to have been amplified by the colours. Excellent, excellent job at keeping the mood alive. That is, after all, the main focus of colours below line work.
