Description

Quirk is a traveler, both in a literal and metaphysical sense. With a huge boundary to explore it is always on the go, and its purpose is simple: to explore, to see new things, to keep the adventure going, to discover everything there is to discover in its boundary and biome. It's a world that wasn't available to them as a gall wasp, and they delight in the opportunity.

It feels good to have this finished--I had started it a couple months ago and quickly stalled out on getting Quirk's entrance animated in a satisfactory way. Stumbled across it again last week and was able to throw out the frames that weren't working and fashion a new opening instead! Quirk is always such a good animation muse, I have such a clear idea of how it moves and emotes that it comes very naturally and generally comes out as like, something delightful to watch haha.

Also fun to do a little bit of bird animation, scrub jays are my darling fence blorbos and I've seen a lot of delightfully round ones recently!

California has been getting a lot of rain recently. My landscape has been kind of overhauled with new bodies of water all over the place. Normally this backdrop would be a flat plain, but it felt natural to slap in a seasonal river and a swollen lake now.
