wow..she is very pretty!! (but the beak... ) is it her second plumage? or does she have this colours ? ( o.O)

From what I can remember, those are her natural-born colors. Most Goshawks I've seen here in NH have similar coloration on their beaks.

nono i meant the coloration of the feathers...the beak is just bad shortened...it is not sharp mit a tip anymore. But the plumage...is may another varation where you live...here in germy they look a bit....different (but just a little bit)

The caretakers of the birds do file down the beak, as the birds are not able to be released back into the wild for varius reasons. As far as the plumage, I don't believe it changes. I'm not very educated as far as raptors, unfortunately.

Beautiful bird! Nothing like seeing these guys in flight. I have never been close to one, but hope to someday.

If the bird is being released into the wild, most often times they don't give them names. They don't want anyone to get too attatched, if you know what I mean.
