Description Yours truly has been very fortunate to partner with a bevy of talented people to produce an online-only comic book. "Graphic Novel" for you purists, I suppose.

Issue #1 is set for release on May 28th, 2012. You can purchase a copy here:[link]

Want to commisson a story from me yourself? Here's my rates. Want to hire me, editors? My contact info is in there too.

Meet Captain Judy Longbow, starfighter pilot extraordinare. She's fresh back from the end of the war and ready for a change in her life. She gets a big one when she volunteers to test her friend's body-altering formula and it goes haywire. Not too bad of a thing as Judy is a reasonable adult; more embarassing than anything else.

Until an old foe from the war shoots up her with a mixture of drugs that turn this soldier into 300 feet of rampaging, city-smashing terror.

You can also find my publisher here on DA. A special shout-out to Geo McCumiskey as Editor at GTSFan.

And here is a list of the other aforementioned talented people that are bringing you "Apex Rush."

Myself, Keith E. Kimball, as Writer/Creator.

Andrea Errico as Penciller/Inker.

Ylenia Di Napoli as Colorist.

Yeah, a woman wearing white after Labor Day, I know. What was Judy thinking here?

She should've been thinking, "Maybe I should wait until the growth pills were finished before I ate them..."

But seriously, thanks for the comment, man, you made me laugh.

Thanks! I like my OC here, Judy Longbow; she's strong and kind but a real person too. Hence her being rather embarassed at outgrowing her starfighter (and her clothing) here. Andrea & Ylenia did a wonderful job making a 300-ft. (90m) woman look vulnerable.

I'm not as good an artist as they are, but I've got some original drawings and plenty of literature laying about the rest of my gallery if you've got a minute. (Heh, but who isn't super-busy nowadays?)

Nice!
My Beginning of Things is on a back burner also due to work and have a very very rough draft of a story.
I would love to get a team together to do this and split everything as a team.
You would be chuffed as a THING fan at the concept as it would blend in to both films and would end up showing the events of the opening scene in the John Carpenter film with the ship crashing to earth.

Thanks! Even if it doesn't sell well (I hope it does ), it was certainly fun to make. Hah, come to think of it, Apex Rush is choked with all the pop culture jokes I could think of already...I can always add some MOTU & POP stuff into future issues.

On behalf of my coworkers, I thank you for all of us. It was fun to create and I'm hoping it becomes a regular series.

Ack; I hit send too fast. In addition to a heartfelt "thanks", I wanted to say getting this story actually published was a long time coming. I wrote it for spec back in 2006 and have been throwing it at publishers ever since. It's finally going to see the light of day! I'm so excited!

Well, first published fiction, anyway. I used to do legal dissertations and other nonfiction...boring! I won't post those; people will run screaming from my gallery!!

Still, I've got a long way to go to make it my day job; thanks for the encouragement! and it does feel awfully good to see it published...

Thanks for not just faving, but commenting! I really appreciate that! And on a personal note, I'm always glad to meet another sci-fi nut. (And maybe unusually tall women are interesting too...)

Thanks! It was fun to write; as you can see from the cover it's not necessarily a very serious story. The poor girl, big as she is, did the old banana-peel schtick into a lake. ...oops!!

Hah-hah, thanks! Judy does look a little vulnerable despite being so huge, doesn't she?
