Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee! May he rest in peace.Β

A very thoughtful and appropriate quote you've chosen, and an excellent homage.

Thank you very much. I'm glad you like it

He also often advocated for Islam as being a religion of peace. That's why I added the two symbols. I just don't hope people take the star and crescentΒ as a symbol for Turkey or the Ottoman Empire, because that wasn't my intention

Yes, I really appreciate that you added in those two symbols!Β

(Here's a relevant article. --->Β www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/06… )

The star and crescent symbol only represents countries like Turkey and Pakistan and Malaysia (and countless others) because it represents Islam and those countries have large Muslim populations, so I think you're good. I've heard that the star is actually Venus, which can be spotted with the naked eye at dawn!

Glad to hear the symbol was okay

And thanks for the link. That was a very good article, portraying him as a true representative for his faith, but I also like his stands for peace and anti-war. Watch this video when you have the time: I Ain't Got No Quarrel With Them Viet Congs.

I just watched it. Thank you for linking me to this great video! I learned a lot I didn't know about him and his life. I remember seeing that powerful first clip years ago and learning about the concept of conscientious objection in history class. I'm more of a scientist than a historian, but every time history crosses my path, I feel overwhelmed by the weight of the past and the degree to which the same tired stories, riddled with violence and hatred, repeat themselves in an ignorant loop. That's why people like Muhammad Ali who change the course of the stories they live are so valuable to humanity.

Glad you liked the video. And you're absolutely right about the history loop. I think many conflicts in the world are rooted in things that happened in the past, and if you continue to solve the problem the same way as last time, it is bound to persist forever. Or as the old saying goes:Β β€œThose who don't know history are doomed to repeat it.”
