When I was working on the images of:"I am not your puppet"

[link] My good friend:
Thought that the creature in the fetal postion would make an interesting character and well so did I. Thus Vadin was born. This is actually the third picture that I have drawn of him. Both pictures are a works in progress...
Any way I pulled out my colored pencils and made this copy and went to work just testing the water so to speak with colors, cuz yes folks he's purple! I added the rough shadows and the light source just to get a rough estimate of what the picture would look like. Hopefully over christmas break I will have time to work on and finish a nice version of this piece.

Well... you did good on this. The light and refelction on the skin is wounderfully done might need slight more blending in personal oppinion... but still very nice. The shadows around him don't seem to fit. I know you said it was a work in progress and you put those in to show how it might look... keep working on it. It has potential. About the pants... deffinatly white pants... black would have been too dark... his skin tone would not have shown up as warm.

I think that I should do some studies of his hands and feet to put up, it could be interesting. I like his colors

Great work, Kel! I actually think I like the white pants better than the idea for the black ones. Very neat character indeed, but I have already toldya about that. =3 Nice folds on the jacket!

I love tails! And unusual skin shades! And his design is neat with the spikes on his head and back!
