Please note the words below contain a fair amount of spoilers, so if you haven't watch ep10 of Legend of Korra yet, I strongly recommend not to read!

I know everyone is drawing this, but I just can't help myself not to...
Lin, you're my HERO!!! And really Toph's girl!!

OMG, I feel so hurt and sad now!!! I needed to draw this to comfort myself and the people who got hurt by the new episode.
OK, to be honest, this is the first time LOK really touched my heart and made me want to cry. I actually expected to see Lin sacrifice herself for the Avatar at a certain point in the show, but I didn't expect it to come so quickly. Even though I prepared for this moment, I still feel deeply hurt when I really see it.
I don't how Toph will feel seeing her daughter do all this. Guess she will be so proud of Lin, and heart broken at the same time.
Like mother, like daughter.
Toph was a hero of Awesomness, and Lin is a hero of sadness.
Lin is such a fantastic character, a tragic hero also, my favorite character in LOK so far, and the oldest character I've ever loved. Toph seems so strong and unstoppable, but Lin on the other hand doesn't always win the fight, but she dares to face battles that she knows she's gonna lose, and she sacrificed her most important thing to save her most important person and his family, which makes me admire her even more.
Beifong are the best!!
(But who can carry on the legacy now...)
and, I got the feeling that she will got her bending back later on.
The blowing white bubble implies her melted bending... I still need to touch this up.
I was a bit annoyed by the last shot, I mean that's definitely a highlight of the whole episode, and I screamed out when I heard that voice, you know what I mean. but I wish they could have given Lin a bit more time and let the sadness last/hold longer before that exciting moment hit...

LOK is so different than ATLA! ATLA was so lighthearted, and LOK is much... deeper? Not depressing... just sad, I guess. But I love this picture! At the same time I feel like crying...

This is beautiful! Absolutely fantastic! I agree, this was the only moment that made me want to cry. I really prefer the orginal series to this one and Lin and Bolin (he's okay), are the only characters I like in this series.

I don't even know how to explain how much the emotion from the drawing reaches out to me. It brings back the tears from the episode I cried for! DX I really love how you drew it in only black and white, emphasizing the emotion and sadness. But what I love most is how you colored Lin's eye. It glows and sticks out in the picture and that small smile of hers just shows how happy she is inher mother's arms despite her pain.
I've never written such a long comment on an artwork before so that's how you can tell I really loved it! great job and keep the work up!

i loved every avatar character since the fisrt time i saw aang (although my least favourite is katara D: ). when i heard about korra i was hoping for the same epicness... but they made it even MORE awesome! i can't choose a favourite character so far... everyone is so full of personality and cool background stories...
Lin is for sure the most tough woman so far, and even though she was not that much shown, she really grew into our hearts (at least in my case). it was so so so so sad... but it's the epic ending suited for a REALLY epic woman. IT WAS AWESOME ;___;

GOD, I felt so much during this episode Not only did Lin risk her life to protect Tenzin and his family, but she protected what was supposed to be HER family and HER children, if it weren't for Pema. Don't get me wrong, I love Pema, but I can't imagine how it felt to lose your lover and childhood friend to a woman that is 15 YEARS younger than you. Seeing the way Lin fights, and the fact that Tenzin is pretty much the only one left with airbending genes, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the reasons why their relationship broke off is because Lin got internally hurt at one point, and is incapable of bearing children.
And of course, as former chief of an elite police force and the sole daughter of true prodigy, Lin's life revolved around bending, and she did NOT even hesitate to refuse to tell where Korra was when Amon threatened to take her bending away. Wow, sometimes, I forget that this is supposed to be a kid's show :/
