Since we seem to be talking specifically a dragon and not a wyvern, I have to question the design choice of the claw, talon or whatever you would call the clawed appendage on the wings. As a writer of pseudo-realism I tend to always ask myself a number of question when designing something and one of them is: "Does it serve a purpose?" I personally fail to see a usable function for the claw, but then again, Alan Lee and John Howe have in the past argued about something very, very similar and Alan Lee's response was: "Shut up John, it looks cool" e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="
I'd personally also say that the darker shades on the upper two segments of the inside of the dragon's closer wing makes it seem more like wet fabric than shadow; mostly because of the shape, I believe. I personally don't see anything that would cause the shadows, save for the bone-frame, and it doesn't explain the uppermost 'prongs' of the shadows.
Otherwise, I think this a solid piece of art.

The claw on the wing is actually a functional thumb I believe! If dragons did/do exist, their wings would have evolved from extra arms I think

Ahaha actually all design is idea of client, but I can say that I love this claws as all that in creatures design is tiny and long ;D
