Description
An attempt at HDR photography. I tried not to get carried away, I don't like the too surreal HDR manipulations when a more natural look would also work great. This is a lone ash tree (I think) just by the side of the Thracian rock sanctuary Beglik Tash on the southern Black Sea coast of Bulgaria.

Hmm, Nice attempt.... Is it me or is the color a bit odd?

Thanks.
I'm not sure, I don't know how it looks on other monitors. The various shades of green seem a bit odd at places, but that's how the photo turned out and I didn't want to change it artificially.

I'm not too good with plants, but I am pretty sure it's an ash tree, yes. They are beautiful, and so must be your name.
Thanks for the comment and the fav.

Thanks! I made an HDR photo namely because I wanted to avoid an overexposed background or an underexposed foreground, but yeah, it's always tricky shooting against the sun.

cool
I give u some tricks to make HDR against the sun, try to shoot object on underexposure lighthning and if possible u can make the contrast as high as u can (keep the object visible, dont be really dark). After that, u can proccess it on lightroom or photoshop to add more brightness/exposure, and play with some color management.
Sorry I just give some my opinion, hehe. u dont have to do my way, u can do ur own way. ur pic was good and keep photographing

I've only just started experimenting with HDR, I'll certainly try different things, so thanks for the tips, I appreciate them.

That's a beautiful picture and you are right, many HDRs really are over the top but this is lovely and natural. Such a pretty sky and I love the lone tree.

I think this is a very beautiful shot! With this particular scene, you're right... natural is far more appealing. Well done!
