The pose REALLY throws me off- but other then that I really like it 
I suggest using dots rather then swirlly lines for sand as well, since I once again! Got it confused with sheets XD;; And your shading is really coming along super well. I also suggest some highlights in the hair- you could do some really funky stuff with that ^_^ Love the facial expression too <3 Good work

I kinda thing the heart tatoo is cute. ^_^ But yeah I guess it came out kinda good. I almost like the pose in this a real lot thou, because it is kinda natural. And yeah, I was trying something new for the sand. -_- I didn't like it to much either, I think I should have made it more grainy or something. Thanks for the comment thou!
