Okay, so this didn't actually happen, but it does cross my mind every time I see someone wearing pants with words on the fanny (as was the case at the post office yesterday). Luckily like most well-adjusted adult men, I have mastered the subtle art of the "ninja quick booty peek" so as to avoid detection and awkward social situations like the one illustrated above.
Yeah..I can be a bit of pig sometimes. What? I did a comic about PONIES last week. Cut me some slack.

Do you have any idea how long it took for me to figure out why I was finding all of these pairs of sweatpants saying "PINK" that were never actually the color pink?
I'm actually not sure I know now, but I assume it relates to the singer.

Pink is the section of VS that sells sweatpants and the like, it doesn't focus so much on underwear. I don't shop at Pink, but i do at VS, cause isn't that the point?

I've never honestly figured out as I haven't set foot in one of those stores since a friend worked there years and years ago. My best guess is they go through trends either according to whatever new fragrance they've put out or it's some gimmick to be able to identify who else goes into the hazed cloud that is the store of insanely lacy crotch coverings. Sort of like people who buy shirts with GAP or any other store brand on them, I guess.

I concur. The only times I think I've been there were when friends dragged me along. I was always kind of offended that they'd have such scanty posters right out where little kids walk by.

I always wondered why they made those posters that, to me, seem aimed toward men yet the store is for women. I suppose it's a gimmick for guys to encourage their girls to buy from them in hopes they turn into one of the VS's "angels". As a kid I always hated passing their store in the mall because I felt embarrassed walking past a poster that had boobs bigger than my head. It's funny, I can handle artistic nudity and all that jazz but throw me in front of one of their posters where the model's looking at you like you just pulled out a blank check for a Prada bag and I'll run screaming.

I believe that is exactly why they have those posters. To encourage men to encourage women to buy their products. Also, I think I once heard that VS was founded by a man.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was. Personally I don't see the need for intricately laced or designed undies and bras unless I plan to walk around in my knickers all day and even if I did I could guarantee that stuff'd be off me in five minutes anyway. It's nice if you wanna feel pretty under your clothes but unless you need a special size bra you don't need to be spending anywhere from $50 to $100 on stuff only you're going to see. Same thought goes to brands that design kid's clothes. You're paying hundreds on one outfit the kid will outgrow in a month, I hope you kept the receipt and know a good way to reattach a tag.

Man...I've always hated the weird words written on the back of sweatpants thing...it's just so trashy...course I think wearing sweatpants out and about is kinda trashy too unless you're exercising or something (though they are comfy-times for sleep and lounging bout the house doing nothing productive XD)

My problem is that I get comfy in my PJ pants or sweat pants then someone asks me to go out in public. I'm too lazy to get dressed in real clothes again so I just go for it, looking like a bum. ^_^
