You did a fantastic job on coloring her and getting her ready to do battle. She looks much better with some color and the shading to really bring out her body tone, and that wary expression is cute, even if she could be in mortal danger. The clothes and accessories look fantastic, and the color makes all of the eccentricities stand out. The partial fishnets are intriguing, and I'm guessing there's some cultural reason behind them (or perhaps some magic charm?).
Are the fashionable shorts unbuttoned and unzipped so that she'll be freer to more and jump in battle? She must have some good secret to keep them from falling down completely. (That could be a real mean thing to do on a date too. 
Anyway, she looks lovely and yet like someone I won't want to bother while she's so focused. (Hitting on a woman while she's cautiously approaching her enemies isn't very mannerly.)
As for your comment on backgrounds, it sounds like you have an excuse to go out and so some life drawing landscapes and buildings. Then again, it doesn't look half bad for some old ruins.

She is very fast, and she has a lot of stunning attacks that don't take long to charge, which is why I have to try my hardest to get her to ring out.

Lol. when I play as talim i try to refrain from flipping over my oppenent when she is cornering someone because I have gavin myself a ringout just by flipping over them.

That's one of the things about Voldo. He has a really good leaping attack, but if I'm at the wrong distance away, then I'm opening myself up to all kinds of problems.
