Interesting, since a lot of those people who want unrestricted capitalism forgot that there actually was a time in American history when capitalism was totally unrestricted, and the markets were totally free. And life sucked for most Americans back then, even more than it does today. The primary reason (if not the only reason) Americans can live like they do now, and why America's not a third-world country is because of capitalism being restricted, not because of capitalism itself.

Hopefully, we won't need another one of those massacres of the workers to get America and the government mobilized to actually care about someone besides Koch Industries, Wall Street, etc.
Let us campaign against the corrupt decision of Citizens United vs. FEC and put even stricter laws on corporate campaign contributions and state that a corporation is NOT a person. For one thing, a person has a heart.

wooot IWW! I found out around Martin Luther King day, that Starbucks employees are a part of the IWW and they scored time and a half pay for the holiday. so I went there on MLK day to support the union workers.

Don't wanna sound like a dick, but I'm kinda a workaholic, so as a college student, I'd rather not have a weekend. I'd rather learn. Y'know, learn, what all the parents of these students are supposedly paying money for.

I commend you work ethic, but toiling 7 days a week seems terribly oppressive. At some point you need to live your life and be a human being. Knowledge is obviously invaluable, but one's ability to absorb knowledge is often curtailed by commitments to work. We all need the opportunity to be well rounded individuals, hence the weekend. huzzah. And thankyou.
