Lovely. Can you tell me your policy on using these shots? I have a website for hairdressers, and I'd love to feature your work on it! Cheers Annette

Hi Kevissimo - What sort of note? The site is salonclientcare.com.au (still a work in progress) and I want to feature it in the slider with the words over the top "Inspire your clients to try new things". Thanks, Annette

Very beautiful colours and light. I just wonder about that thing in/under the hair on the left side, what is it?

Maybe your screen is darker then mine, but I can see traces of compositing at the model's right side hair. And a little bits of the lighter bg where the hair touches her back.

Probably...are you on a PC?

Yea, laptops screens tend to have a higher black level. I did it on an iMac and all of that dropped into a nearly invisible zone. And also...this was a quick piece of work that I honestly didn't spend alot of time on. I'm giving it a quick re-edit....so thanks for the heads up

Weird, how the out-takes always seem to have more resonance than the more commercially acceptable .. a case of bland being better than individualism?

Thanks you...Yeah, that is always curious...I've found that my personal favs from out takes are usually more popular than the actual selects.

Agreed. My commercial work is always more watered-down and "attention-span-nice-nice" friendly than the vast body of my work...but it seems people do not realize the innovative/unique type of work until it has been around for 40 years...or some insanely rich person deems it as such.

...that being said, I sincerely enjoy every single portrait in this series. In fact, if I still had my rig, this is the sort of photography I would be pursuing.
Kudos. I will probably use one or more of these to sketch from...

Thanks...and I hear ya. And to be perfectly honest, Joico have been the best clients ever in my professional career. I love them. Creative meeting months in advance and everyone working as a team with honest solid communication through the final edits. Every shooter should be so fortunate to have a client like this...
