Since you seem to be so well-liked, I decided to review your art. This mostly general observations.
Yes, I do like anime, I read some manga, so I'm not judging just because of obvious Japanese pop-culture references.
Pros: Your anatomy is pretty good and consitent, and your maker colouring is actually impressive.
Cons: First off...your colour choices. I'm aware you have limited control with alone, but I see this in coloured pencil and paint peices as well. Everything is bright. Your colour looks a little flat. I'm aware that your style isn't realistic, but most anime artists and cartoonists try to make the colour pop and make it look animated, not just a flat picture on a sheet of paper.
Your subjects...some pictures are very inspired and artistic, like "Prisma", but most strike me as being rather uninspired, thoughtless, and just kind of...not thought inspiring. Whether it's just cutesy fan art or cutesy rodents (which I GUESS are based on the Ottsels from Jak?) they don't really keep my eyes locked. It's like...Oh. How cute. Next.
Faces. Your facial expressions seem a little dead. I mean your faces move, but they don't really show emotion. This is your biggest flaw when it comes to drawing manga. You really have to FEEL character emotion and conflict, or else the story just becomes undynamic and boring. Which is why I choose to write instead of draw my stories, I'm better at wording the emotions than expressing them visually.
Yeah. You're not bad at all, you've got alot of potential but you have alot to work on.

Well, of course I have a lot to work on. 
As for the creatures, the yellow one was inspired by the Jak and Daxter ottsels, yes. X3 The other one's based on (and is, really) a red Panda. So not a fictional animal, just one I've made cutesy-anime-esc.
Thanks so much for some thoughtful crit as well. I've been digging myself into a grave these past few months since I am lacking inspiration alot (not a case of what to draw, but really HOW to draw it X3) Which, of course, has lead to issues you've brought up here. Any examples of some good things I could look at to inspire me to try and better myself? I know it's asking for more, but it does help if I can see something you're refering to to just boost the point...if that makes any sense?

Wow, I'm a little surprised; I'd heard horror stories that you were a bit of a crit monster, but I guess not.
My brain is a little tired at the moment, but I'll give some extra little advice for the moment; Think of a theme, an idea, an issue, or something that interests you or you're passionate about. Think of images to represent these things; doodle out different things. I find collages are alot of fun. Throw around different, crazy media, like glitter, pieces of newspaper, ect.
I like painting and I draw quite a bit, but photography is definately my calling. Nature inspires me, so I find different ways to portray the beauty of nature, by magnifying all the little things normally overlooked.
I'll try to help more tomorrow, but I'm exhausted from driving lessons today so my brain is mush. Do feel free to crit my gallery if you would like.

haha, really? X3 I probably was when I first started out here, but I've grown to be fond of crit (the helpful stuff anyways, I'm not keen on 'the arm looks wrong' without any suggestions on how the make the arm look right, if you get my drift? X3). Sad thing is, I think because of the rep artists with X amount of views and such get around here, people are often afraid to give them crit because they'll explode on them if they say anything that isn't an asspat (god, that word amuses me X3)

I shall take that into mind. Please forgive the 'flat' piece I may be uploading tonight, as it was done a few days ago and I just wanted to do something on the 30th. But looking through the gallery (as your crit about the flat faces/expressions is what caught my attention the most) I can see where you're going, and want to try and do a piece with more expression in it, as well as more blending with my markers and such other than just two layers of colour.
Thanks so much. Any other help you're willing to be add would be great. I just don't know how I'd be on giving crit myself, most of all on Photography, as I know so very little on the subject myself.

If you want more helpful and specific critique, you should try posting your work on Conceptart.org. They can be a little hard but they know more about traditional media than I do.
There's only so much I could suggest, but I'm not that great with drawing and colouring with markers, pens, and coloured pencils.
Which reminds me, I suggest you experiment with coloured charcoal pencils. They can be messy but the blending is incredibly smooth. When I do any sort of drawing in traditional media I use charcoals. Also you can mix black and white more effectively so you can tone down the bombastic, bright colours a little.
