He looks interesting. I like the outline colors; no one would usually use yellow and red as outline colors, they would probably use black. *laughs* But I'm glad you have your own style and your own way of thinking. You're not copying anyone, and that is intelligent. He must be a robot! I like how his arms and legs are a bit away from his body. His foot shape is... rather interesting. I ESPECIALLY love the robotic parts of his body; rather interesting. The face makes him look so evil. *laughs* Is he an evil, raunchy, 'I-SHALL-KILL-YOU' type of robot? If he is, then he sure looks like it! I hope you liked both of my reviews, sorry I didn't say it earlier.

Well, although it looks cool, I have some problems with it.
First of all, those Digital Hologram-like limbs that she stands on. They're sorta nice, but they look WAY too advanced and futuristic for something Wakeman would build, especially for her 1st robot like this. Wakeman's stuff is super high tech, but sheΒ isn't a jack of all trades engineer, she has her limits, and solid hologram-like lightΒ appendages are definitely out of her league.
Maybe that would work for a later model when she somehow managed to become more advanced, but not for the 1st one.
Second of all, it really doesn't fit for a Prototype, and it goes against the whole thing of her being "young."
Third, I don't like that evil-looking face on her lower part. It looks more like something you'd see in a Cluster Bot, or some other villain, but not a good guy.
That's just my views on your version of XJ-1.

I am a big Final Fantasy fan, and XIII was great (all three parts that is).

phew.. how do I explain this... well first of I use the vector funktion to draw line on photoshop. I'm not this good with the mouse on its own.
Whatever, usual when I do art, I make like 3 layers: one for color, one for the lines, and one for extra lines.
For this realistic style, I make layes for every color and combine lines and colors for one layer.
So like one layer for the everything blue, one for everything skin colored and so on and so on. And then I do the shade and lights the same way. Like 2 layers for shades, and one or two for the lights. where to put shade and like you have to find out for your self.

I do this in photoshop.Β
First, i choose to choose everything on pic (Like choosing inside of some picture element, to make colors only in this area)
Then i choose a layer with lineart, then i move lineart a little (A LITTLE), and then return it back where it was.
Now that all lines are chosen area, i use gradient. I choose rainbow gradient and choose that it should be applied like a shine circle.
And then i just apply gradient.
Sorry, i have Russian photoshop, so i don't know how it would be in english...
