Description
(Kit by Dimensions Gold Collection) Please click on it to see in detail (standard image looks a bit blurry to me)I timed this one meticulously, as with my fav.me/d7gxbg5 but won't be timing anymore projects. Mainly because I was only doing this on days off, or when I could spend hours at a time on it, rather than pick it up whenever, which would have meant being completed sooner :/ This is the biggest solid stitching project I've done
Anyway, here are the details:
Stitch Count: 34,496 (didn't count out, it's solid stitching so - stitches each direction x by each other)
209hrs 20mins on cross stitch
10hrs 5mins on backstitch
219hrs 25mins in total.
As for framing, it will be in a black and gold frame with a cream mount

So lovely ^.^ You did a great job. I'm actually working on this now as a gift for my boyfriend. It'll take a while, but I hope mine turns out as well as yours has.Β

@_@ This is so pretty! Oh my gosh, I can't imagine working 219 & 1/2 hours on anything but this end result is certainly worth it. It's just so lovely. Great job!

Thank you I like that it has a lot of half stitch in different numbers of strands - really adds to the texture and also speeds it up a lot too
Do it! - It's lovely to see it come together

Aah, good to know - I do like those half-stitches.
This is definitely going in (a long) queue of things-to-do!

Haha I have 68 cross stitch projects in total (inc 3 WIP's) but 2 or 3 may come out as i haven't kitted up yet and feeling more 'meh' about them.
Either way it's hard to pick the next project sometimes
How many WIP's have you got?

68!?
I have currently three WIPs (one big work, two smaller) and maybe some 15 kits and patterns already bought...
'The stash' of course keeps getting bigger and bigger...
I love stitching, but dammit, why does it have to be so slow?

Two of my wip's are medium, one medium-large (mainly focusing on the latter) but next fri i'm off to stay with relatives for a few days so will start a new big one (10"x16")
And I agree, wish I could show more progress for my time to non stitchers - they just don't understand, haha

Ah okay, sounds great! Good luck with those!
My biggest work to this day is one that's 14.1' x 27.8'... 90% of it stitched with two colors too, so it only took some three years.
Really love stitching those big works, but it's kinda depressing to think about that completing one may take years!

Thank you It's my biggest piece so far but doubt I'll go much bigger
(and I wash my hands very regularly when stitching) haha x

I do that too! I keep hand sanitizer next to my work station so every time I feel I need that extra bit of clean there it is!

Haha I do this as well, although it does mean I am guilty of being too lazy to get up and wash them properly half the time
