Hell, even that episode where the fake Tigress (as I call her in the TV show) falls in love with a shrimp is a better love story than twilight. This love story, meanwhile, is believable and compelling. A hardened warrior who grew up in a world where everyone was afraid of her finds that, even as an adult and an accomplished Kung Fu master, her peers (the rest of the Five) still shrink back in fear when they sense she is upset. It seems that she will never have true friends--friends who trust her and aren't afraid of her--friends who know her better than to be afraid. Then Po comes along, and he's different. He teaches her to have fun; he stands his ground even when she's enraged; he admires her for who she is and isn't afraid to be himself around her. He is a true friend--perhaps her first ever. Who wouldn't fall in love with their first real friend and companion? Their best friend and partner in combat? And despite the sheer temptation of making this connection official, the writers and producers held back and let their relationship develop naturally. It's just so subtle: how she's always right next to him everywhere they go, how she always seems to know when something's about to happen to him, how she unfailingly shows up at the last minute to catch him--every time!--before he falls, how she shoots him so many looks of admiration, how he compliments her every move...the list could go on. I think the best example is when Po wakes up from his nightmare on the boat, afraid and confused, and what does he do? He looks to see that he hasn't woken up Tigress (who then opens her eyes immediately). Need I go on?

Heh, I actually went out of my way and had my DVD ripped, then go frame. by. frame. through many scenes, and found a lot of evidence -- if not proof -- that Tigress-Po is *by design*.
I even make a Flickr album of the shots, and a GoogleDoc of the evidences
