Yeah where I live it's kinda the opposite most of my close friends think digital art is the only way of drawing anymore and it saddens me that traditional art is not getting the love it deserves because even digital they usually will sketch out a base sketch traditionally and THEN mess with it on a computer program like Photoshop or Gimp. I've done a few Gimp pieces I just prefer traditional art more it's more satisfying.

i think most of people find traditional more complicated and tedious, and like you said i just find it more sastifying lmao
but i believed both ways have their fun and sastifying side, even mixed media is cool too if the artists are comfortable with it, i did traditional sketch and work the rest on photoshop as well as coloured traditionally a printed digital lineart, and i like them all lmao, i just still more prefer to do traditional, especially when i haven't have a wacom yet..
