Description This pretty much sums up my thoughts on the spy. I will be looking more now at other aspects of TF2, but the spy will not be forgotten. Spy exclusive comics will probably not be nearly as common, but I just can't quit the lil' guy. Thanks everyone for the support over this fun detour through life. Keep posted for new comics.

if the engineer had wanted spy to go first, spy would have shot him himself anyway xD

"Much more pressing than his faulty math, why is the Spy smoking his cigarette on the wrong side?"

The orange part the cigarettes glow not the filter.

Love your comics Kibbies.

Because the spy isn't going to play fair either way. Re-read the spy's last comment

He'd have a gun with six shots. He'd just shoot the engie instead of playing the game.

I'd call you a bastard too if you said you'd leave it to chance and then fragged me. D:

I beleive, if my math is right, that the odds would be...

5/6 chance the engineer lives on the first shot.

Second shot is taken by spy, one in five chance it kills him. His loss chance is now at 1/6th (from the first round), his win chance is 1 5th of the remaining chance, or also at 1 in 6, and the chance to advance is now at two thirds.

Ok, now his chance of going on is the chance of the game not being over yet (2 3rds) times his chance of not killing himself this round, or 3/4ths. So at this point the chance is one fourth of two thirds, or one sixth, that he dies, plus his previous death chance of 1 6th leaving him with a death chance of two sixths, spy with a death chance of one sixth, and the chance of going on at 6/12s, or the remaining 3/6 or one half.

Spies chance of dying this round is 1/3 times the 1/2 chance the game made it here, or one sixth, meaning it's 1 3rd for all possible options at this point.

Engineers chance of living next round is 1/2 times the 1/3 chance that the game made it this far, or yet another sixth.

Spy takes the reamining sixth chance on his last bullet, so assuming fair play, the end stats are that the game is perfectly balanced, as is to be expected from a game where each player picks three chances where one of them is already known to be deadly.

Still forgot to sum it up...

The game is totally fair, with each side having an exactly 50% chance of losing.

You screwed up the math big time. (and that's even under the absurd assumption you couldn't just hit the same cylinder twice while randomly spinning it).

Other than that, not bad, I guess.

The chance of the engineer NOT killing himself, assuming the spy never shoots himself except for the last bullet (not a good assumption to make, but I'm making things simpler) and assuming you only randomize for the first shot, would be 5/6 * 3/4 * 1/2, or 15/48, which simplifies to 5/16 if he got the chance to take all 3 shots. Of course, that math is still moot considering it doesn't factor in the spies shots, but that still winds up with the engies odds being different from 1/48 of dying (in the end, the odds should total up to 1, BTW)

Man, I wish I could edit. I found the comic funny (as always) but the math was just wrong.
