Description
The final image of the Harringtons within this room.
I think that's more than enough introduction for them but I'm making the most out of this room while I can.
This image is simply to show what the parlour looks like from another angle.
Now slowly working on the intro images of the remaining three characters from the 'character board'.

Thank you Joe! I thought this room was tough, but that one Sir Tancrede just submitted is ten times more complicated!

Lighting is less impressive with this angle but the view is beautiful, so I wouldn't say it's more than enough. A welcome bonus picture

Thanks Sir Tancrede - I like that, a bonus picture!
BTW I just saw your latest scene on daz and rushed over here to see if it was posted.. it's amazing! I'll bet that's the one which you did during your holidays, it looks like the one you said was a huge job!

The light and opulence has a feeling of some of the great Hollywood productions from the late sixtieth to the end of the seventieth of the last century.
Though I can't point it to any single movie. The scene strongly suggests some kind of history behind not only the persons but all those items, the house, the grounds.
Happy - Tragic - Sinister? I wonder...

That's kinda neat that it reminds you of something like that - and now that you've suggested it I can see it too... now I'm wondering about their history and future as well!

Freakin' hell, man. I've been waiting all day to get home so I could see this in all it's full size splendor. It's so beautiful, so livable, and so real. With the camera angle, it's like I'm standing there watching her play a melody. I'm so impressed with your quality and hard work, Porrette. There is so much to admire, here and in your gallery. *two thumbs up*
edit: Even the way Lady Harrington's head nods while looking at the sheet music is so natural and not stiff at all. I REALLY like this.

That's so cool! I'm glad it gives you an eagerness to see it full size (I wasn't sure I should even post it because I thought the environment would be getting a little boring by now but I wanted to keep the set of three together)
I think that's what I like about your scenes as well, like you, I have to have them 'real' in my head and imagine what every part or character would actually be doing in a given situation. What I ended up with in this case was overkill because I only wanted to introduce three people and show them in their home environment... could have achieved that in a far easier way!
(Interestingly the response to my previous image over at daz was fairly lukewarm - perhaps the audience there is quite different and probably more inclined towards characters rather than scenes. I'm kinda going off their gallery because it's too difficult to keep a track of artists I like)
Hey, I've been thinking about your stories (I read all your descriptions you write about what is happening) and they are so in-depth and interesting, I know you want to do graphic novels of them, but have you also thought of (not sure if this is the correct term) getting a 'ghost writer' to write the story, absolutely directed and controlled by you, as a fully fleshed out standard novel? (I'm obviously making a huge assumption that you don't have the time or resources to do it yourself even if you wanted to) It's such a great and complex story that I'm positive there would be a huge appetite for it with readers of that genre. I thought about this because apparently the owner of the business where I work got someone to write his autobiography a while back - I didn't know you could get people to do that.

Ah, never hesitate to share. Please. Your work never bores.
I'll keep my mouth shut in regards to the Daz galleries. There is loads of talent there and I do miss seeing some people's work. It is just too difficult keeping up with so much on a daily basis. Hell, it's difficult with deviantart at times. I think you are correct in your thoughts about what people like although I think it is that way with this hobbyist industry and is way worse over at Renderosity. So glad to be done with those galleries. But I also have issues with things over at Daz and I'll leave it at that.
And I appreciate the thoughts and kind words in regards to my stories. I tend to keep things vague and never used to put up much info in the scene descriptions. I do that more for a few people rather than for everyone. But there's a definite no in regards to ghost writers. This is my baby and I'm not sharing such things with anyone. I used to write a lot (and sketch) and that was how all this stuff started, but once I was able to finally get a new computer and use Poser and Daz Studio again, my thoughts quickly changed to graphic novel format. I have the Lucifer story broken down into three novel type stories, with all these little side stories tying in to the larger story, but definitely my ultimate goal is to do short story type comic/graphic novel format. But I'm glad you think the story might be considered good enough for a novel format.

I understand, I'd be exactly the same - or I would insist on so much control over tone and style that the writer would probably tell me to piss off after a month and resign!
I guess it's the same with authors who sell the rights to their story to a film company and the company changes everything according to the directors vision or worse, based on 'focus groups'.. I would hate that.
And you're welcome, the story is totally good enough for an epic series in whatever medium - books, graphic novels, movies, TV series...

Really a fantastic scene as well as the lighting with a warm and lived in effect. Like all the little items around the room and colorful detailed carpet.

Thanks Tonto, I kinda like it too which is why I'm boring everyone with so many images of it!
It's certainly a place I could live in... if I could even afford it!!
Although, if I think about it, it's probably a bit posh for me really, I wouldn't be able to keep it that tidy!

I'm not complaining or bored with your works. LOL I have to agree with you about living in such a house as that. I guess that is why the maid was pictured, to tidy things up.
