Description
This is probably nothing new to most people, but I was recently able to help someone with this method, so I thought I'd share it with everyone in case they didn't know about it.If your Wacom tablet stops responding due to driver issues, I think this is the fastest and most painless way to fix it.
Note: If you're using an older Wacom tablet, the service may be called "TabletServiceWacom".
Tutorial Summary:
Go to Services >Β Wacom Professional Service >Β Restart the service

You could stop it and then start it again. It should have the same result, just with more clicks.

You're probably experiencing a different problem in that case, or the steps weren't followed correctly.

No the steps were followed correctly so it's the first thing

It's actually a lot faster/easier to just reset preferences in the Wacom Preferences Backup Utility, but as I don't use a Wacom I can't tell people how to do it anymore 9 __9a

I'd have to disagree because it takes exactly the same number of steps to do, and it resets your tablet preferences to default, so you'll have to take an extra step to restore them afterwards.Β
Also, if you don't have your preferences backed up, you'll have to fix them manually.Β

I had my prefs set up and backed up as soon as I realized it worked, and just refreshing backups alone fixed it. I ended up using it so often that it became a shortcut on my windows panel, so it took literally 2-3 clicks to fix my drivers, while navigating to services took quite a bit longer. It was also a discovery I had made accidentally before your solution became "common" (people still don't really know it, so posting it here is still good), so it's also the solution that I got most used to.
Of course there's more than one road to any solution, so to each their own, right? :9

Yeah, I'm sure there's a lot of ways to fix it. And if you just wanted to show that you knew a different way, that's fine. I just posted this as a quick and easy fix to a common problem.
I'm sure there's even people out there who'd say it's faster for them to restart their computer, but I think this way works best for most people.
