It would have been lovely to see this in the show - I always liked the NX-01, but this just completes her, and rather than looking like a discount-Constitution, she looks like a genuine ship in her own right.

I also think the idea of retaining the old warp-core and the engine pontoons is brilliant - now, unlike later Enterprises, the primary hull remains warp-capable even if the engineering hull has to be jettisoned. It's such a simple idea, and yet it really adds to the ship's versatility and functionality!
