Today I finally saw it.
It totally lived up to the hype of being a really good movie.

I should warn you tho, the trailers make the film look like a zany weirdo thing with a boy and his imaginary Hitler, but the film itself is actually more sober and grounded than the trailers make it look like.
After the nazi boyscouts thing that is actually only the beginning of the film, the story gets personal. It gets touching. It gets wholesome in the weirdest ways. And it also gets tense. Yes, I said it. Taika Waititi directs some tense scenes (the first being the one about the protagonist finding the jewish girl) that are so surprisingly well done in the camerawork, direction and music, in a better way than most horror films these days, the intense moments from Jojo Rabbit were more suspenseful than anything from It: Chapter Two for example, and without needing jumpscares, too.

So many quotes and scenes are so vivid in my head, I can't remember the last time I saw a new movie at the theater and wouldn't stop thinking about it so much, it especially ends with a quotation about life that I think is very important.
Definitely buying a copy of this for my movie collection, good luck to Waititi making a film that surpasses this, he set the bar high.
