It was about a group of kids who, while filming a zombie movie, come across an alien attack. However, there's more to the attack than meets the eye. It's both a loving homage to the action-adventure movies of the 80s ("The Goonies", "Back to the Future", "The Monster Squad" or "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids") and a great coming-of-age story. You would have definitevely enjoyed it.
