Here's something completely different.
So I watched the early release of the MLP episode, "The Perfect Pear" a few weeks ago, and I was very moved by the characters and storytelling. I don't know, even though I wasn't a huge fan of AJ before, this must have become my new favorite episode. I loved the new faces and had to immediately sketch them.
Then it came to the story and ending. Oh boy, the feels. I lost sleep over this, similarly to what I got from Littlepip at the ending of Fallout Equestria. I am admittedly very passionate towards "bittersweet ending" stories. Two instances of the Perfect Pear particularly struck me: Grand Pear abandoning his daughter, and the fate of Applejack's parents. The general consensus being the parents passed away somehow, meaning Grand Pear will forever regret his past decisions.
After thinking long and hard, comparing notes to canon, I've begun working on an animation project which may answer some questions while hopefully maintaining status quo. It's focus is on Grand Pears tolerance of outsiders and coming to terms with his past, all while trying to look out for the Apple family.
As of my current status, I have 37 seconds of raw animation, running at 4 frames per second. Things capable of movement are fully animated. All images are drawn in Paint, arranged and compared by slideshow, then merged and animated using a gif maker. The animation does not contain sound, and the script is... something. I am not pursuing perfection on this project, so the animation should could come out quicker, at the cost of being admittedly choppy. Once I finish the "intro", I'll be uploading it here. Best guess is 3-4 weeks from now.

For those here for the Post-Fallout Equestria comic. Sorry, that project went on standby. Littlepip is a VERY patient pony.
