Well ~DarkestWish , you wanted to see some traditional work of mine so here you go. I know... It's terrible...This is Forta, the baby diamond dragon from the 'How to Draw Deltora Dragons' book. I used watercolour pencils to colour her.

Wow. I just got the book on how do Draw the Dragons, and I was pretty proud of myself when I first drew one. but you did just.... amazing. O.O
I also cant understand how to do the claws. the claws are so hard!

The claws? They are hard, aren't they... Just try and draw it the way the book says too, don't worry if it doesn't seem right. It'll work out by the end, I'm sure.

Baby or not, Forta's cool. It was cool of Veritas to take her under his wing. I wonder if amethyst and diamond dragons got along well in the past before they were nearly wiped out?

Hmm... I don't know. I don't think any of the dragons really got along with ones from other tribes.

They grow quick so i reckon by the time she battled alongside the other dragons she would have been that big. Also as the strongest of the dragon tribes you'd think they'd be big.

All of the dragons would probably be big, except the Lapis-Lazuli one. But the how to draw book did say this was supposed to be a pocket-sized Forta.

I drew a dragon from the same book, back in fifth grade :3 I think it was Fidelis?
And yes Forta might be a little bit to big for Lief now....unless he gained weight or something lol

Yeah, a lot of the Deltoran dragon pictures here on dA are ones from that book.
And say whatever you like, mate. I thought she looked small and petite, but you two seem to think differently...

Hmm....youre right! Fortas head is a little big and the talons small, so it DOES look petite, and younger then most dragons...
I think it was the fact it took up the whole page....that confused me...
Its sounds like im critiquing here, doesnt it? But it would look very dull with a small dragon in a massive area of white space...so I really love how youve portrayed Forta in this picture. Once again, amazing job!

Yeah, maybe I should've drawn something else next to her as a size comparison. Like some leaves or something, so people would be able to tell she's supposed to be smaller than the other dragons.

Oh, I always imagined the baby dragon to be much more soft looking and less formed.
Though I'm so ignorant of dragon's appearances that I wouldn't of noticed if that was the case.
