Opening her eyes slowly, the apprentice found herself within darkness. Shocked and confused, she raised her head, trying to see. After a few moments, her eyes adjusted enough to see the cracks and fixtures of stone around her. Indigo eyes wide and concerned, she got on her feet, and began walking. She had to get back home; who knew how long she'd been down here?! How worried her family would be.. she must get to them as quickly as she could.

However, something strange occured.. As she began walking, certain sections of the cave began to glow. Softly at first, but getting stronger the further she pressed on. Until suddenly she was surrounded by bright blue sparks of neon, seeping from between cracks in the rocks. It was a phenomonon like none she'd ever seen. Pulsing and glowing, it was warm, and yet held a slight chill. Jaw somewhat agape, her eyes flicked from place to place. This... This was unreal. She believed in faeries and spirits, but this? Drawing close to one of the glowing lines she felt a small tingle. This was unbelievable. As beautiful as this place was, she still needed to find a way out. Stepping towards one of the side caves, she stuck her head forward. But her nose has barely grazed the entrance before it felt like time was flying past her.

Blinking, she saw her brother, Neil. Opening her mouth to call out to him, nothing came out. However her jaw closed as she watched herself, another version of herself, walking over to Neil with a section of bandages. Calling out happily, this other Clarity seemed to reassure him, getting the feisty male to settle down. They were in the forest, leaves scattered across the ground. She watched herself wrap the bandage around her brother's paw, still talking to try and ease his anxiety about the situation. Seeing this brought a grin onto her face, remembering that he hadn't even been hurt, it was just practice. Filled with this warm feeling she stepped back, and the memory was gone.

Shaking her head, the apprentice realized she hadn't gone anywhere..? Still within the cave, no brother, no forest. It was simpy.. a memory. Maybe she was hallucinating? Taking a breath she continued on, finding another cave. One of these.. one had to lead her home. There was nothing to do but keep trying.

Quintin? She saw the yellow-furred tom ushering her over. Raising a paw to take a step, a younger version of herself trotted quickly ahead, Arcana not far after. The three cats ended up by a bucket, taking turns dipping their paws in and washing dandelion roots. It was before the raid, before worse things. So much had happened since then... But she remembered that joy, of cleaning, and playing. It'd been such a nice day...

Steping back, Clarity had a smile on her face. Another strange memory, but it was a fond one. She hadn't seen either of those cats in a while, but she made a mental note to check up on them. Her ears flipped, worry washing over her face. As lovely as these memories were, she held an increasing concern. Where was her family?? Seeing another potential escape, she ran at it head on, determination within her eyes.

Thunder grumbled in the sky above as the earth was pelted with drops of water. It was another memory.. Standing within the cover of the undergrowth, she saw herself standing on a rock, simply breathing in the rain, living within the rain. This was so long ago, she'd barely been an apprentice at that point. The world had still been her bundle of happy days with no end. And though she still liked to have an optimistic light, she knew better now. She'd grown, she'd learned. By this point Sara had already come out, hearing her past self's cry of pain. Clarity quickly followed the two down into the healer's den. She knew what was coming, but it never ceased to fascinate her. Both past and present Clarity watched with unmatched attention as the white female chewed the plants, creating a poultice that would heal. Staying in the den as her younger self trotted out, she looked around. It was perfect, she... she felt at home here.

Waking up with a snap, the apprentice blinked wildly, looking around. It was a little after sunrise, shadows still creeping along the earth. Heart pounding in her chest, the soft furred cat looked around. She'd fallen asleep next to Neil, tucked together for warmth and comfort. Her eyes narrowed for a moment as she slowly stood up, looking down at her brother then out at camp. Giving him a small nuzzle, she stepped out of the den with a mission to find their leader. She had to talk to him, to tell him. She wanted to be a healer.

She still loved the rain. In fact, she cherished it. Watching it spray over the earth, it seemed to cleanse it, renew it. Even as horrible as she felt due to the attack, the rain made her feel at least a little bit better. Right now the young hybrid was up on some rocks, watched the rain turn into little streams and slip down the sides of the stones. Some drops made it all the way to the ground, others were deterred by moss, and still others simply clung to the rock.
Shaking her head, Clarity decided to find somewhere else to watch the rain, perhaps a place where she wasn't standing directly in it. Not that she disliked getting wet, but it could still be chilly some days, and she didn't want to worry her mother with a cold. Placing her paw on the side of the rock, her foot slipped, and eyes widened upon realizing just how slippery the stone was. With a short but shrill scream she tumble down, claws out attempting to slow her decent.
