I was going to do a Kana table from scratch, but I find it incredibly boring to type it. I stole it from my own website and shrunk it to wallpaper size. I think the way I learned Kana was pretty much by making this kana table over and over again.

I spared you the pain--this is wallpaper size. So you can learn it this way. Stick it to your desktop and get used to it being around.

Windows how to Type into your computer: [link] (You'll need your install CD on XP, and I think Vista, though I'm not 100% sure)
Mac--> Preferences-->International-->Input Menu-->Check off Japanese Kotoeri Hiragana. The kana and international are useful too.

If by any chance you want to go through the pain of making your own complete table, it's a really good way to learn your kana.

Best way to learn is just getting used to seeing it and using it when you type.

R is Romaji.
H is Hiragana.
K is Katakana.
P is pronounced.
