Description Should be a lot less magic and you'll find repetition in the areas I talk about from now on--because basic design principles and thinking about them don't really shift that much. So you should get camera angles, etc and start to think about them and how they lead the eye.

Slight note: Overlay camera angle as in the third example under camera angles is more a shoujo thing.

So let's remeet for dropping of frame lines and different frame lines from the usual. We'll also look at panel layouts and positive and negative space.

Examples used:
Groove Adventure Rave by Hiro Mashima:

I've been reading your tutorials, and I must say they're quite detailed and would help anybody who needs a panel lesson (like me).

Also I must say I love you for referencing Groove Adventure RAVE. Hiro Mashima does some good paneling in his manga (though I haven't read or collected that one in so long).

Thank you!

I try to be diverse in the style of paneling and also in the style of art I use for the tutorial. Mostly to chow there is range out there and also because some artists are simply better at some things than others. Like Tezuka is a master of line conservation and negative space.

Mishounen Produce gets my Shoujo girl going into fits of designer glee. ^_^

So I think it's definitely worth looking at a variety of manga from different genres to pick this up and see how the mangaka utilize it. ^_^

You're quite welcome.

This tutorial made me want to get out all my manga, Shounen, Shoujo and Manhua alike, and compare them to get more good panel ideas.

I hope you continue these tutorials some time soon, they really are helpful.

Thank you. I plan to, but then my computer went down for two weeks and now I have backlog. I'm prioritizing the rest of the tutorials though. It'll mainly deal with bubble stuff, which people think is minor, but really should be thought with the page.
