Midnight sparkle was back, in equestria! A place filled with magic. Similarly to tirek, midnight sparkle wanted magic, all the magic in the world! Becoming the most powerful being of all.

Midnight knew about twilights life of course, so she knew there'd be a hindrance to her plan. Her children.

Now, she didn't plan to hurt them, but she needed them out of the way. Their drive for righteousness was too much of a danger. They didn't know who midnight sparkle was, but If they found out they'd try to stop her.

She searched the castle for stardust and velvet to scare them away. Once she gathered enough power and they couldn't stop her anymore she'd find them to bring them back home.
