Voice Actor Chronicles - Episode 13 - Sean SchemmelMy second NY-based VAC pic and final before the weekend of Otakon, good ol' Sean Schemmel! His characters on this one include: Amidamaru from Shaman King (top left), Gonard from Kappa Mikey (top right), Elliot Grant from Mew Mew Power (middle right), Goku (left) and King Kai (right) from Dragonball Z, and Onsokumaru from Ninja Nonsense (bottom right)...choking the life out of former FoxBox narrator, Jack (bottom) BECAUSE HE SHOULD NOT BEEEE. Sean I've met at a couple cons in the NY and NJ area, where he currently lives, and he's one of the nicest guys I've met among many different VAs I've interacted with. He started out playing brass instruments, and found himself his first anime job as Goku and King Kai for DBZ, two BIG roles for an even bigger series. Since then he's popped up in many a series, always recognizable as many VAs are, and always pulls off a hilarious job. There were a few other characters I wanted to include, but like with the Steve Blum pic, I had to wire it down to 6-7. He's not gonna be at Otakon from what I know, but I have a small backup plan for getting this pic to him.

Sean is a funny actor. It's a shame I couldn't get him or Micah to voice Gary the Gecko, but no doubt about it. This art represents him very good. Glad you got the FoxBox mascot in memory.

I've noticed that Sean was in a lot of 4Kids projects and only some from FUNimation and ADV Films. Oh well. The voice of Goku will always reign supreme.
