Description
EVE was devastated. The trash compacter she had grown to love was goneShe wished he’d come back.
The probe still couldn’t get over what she saw when the projection device showed her Security Cam. He kept her safe at all times during her dormant state. She just couldn’t believe how much he cared for her. EVE now wanted to express exactly how much she returned the favor.
The robot that stood before her, didn’t know.
She wished he’d know.
She was sorry for getting mad at him. She was especially sorry for blaming him for losing the plant the first time. She even refused to talk to him on the way to the Repair Ward. It wasn't his fault! The lost of the plant had nothing to do with WALL•E. It was all a part of AUTO’s plan.
The machine didn’t utter a single word after EVE fixed him.
She wished he’d speak.
She didn’t care if he pronounced her name wrong. She didn’t care if he simply produced some type of noise. She just wanted a sign; a signal.
Something to let her know that he was still there. That he was okay.
Nothing happened.
The cube-based bot didn’t remember her. He didn’t remember anything.
She wished he’d remember.
When they got to know each other, played with a few knick-knacks, danced among the stars in space…All the things they went through. EVE tried her best to jog his memory, but he was non-responsive throughout the process.
The vegetation evaluator sadly decided to give up. Her attempts were useless. It was time for her to say good-bye to her beloved.
She didn’t want to depart from him, but what else could she to do?
EVE looked away from the empty lenses of the someone she used to know, and hung her head in grief.
Oh, how she wished he’d come back.
A poem-ish retelling I started in February. For some reason, I had the urgue to write about this scene.
I'm pretty sure inspired me to do this.
(She has some nice writting in her gallery btw. You should check 'em out sometime.)

(For some stupid reason, I'm not able to submit the document. Can someone tell me how to fix that?)
